The US has the most inefficient and dysfunctional healthcare system of all similar nations. Employers and insurers work together at all levels of our economy to maintain this system as the quality of American healthcare crumbles, in order to maintain their leverage.

Buffalo DSA’s Healthcare Committee has organized since before the pandemic and after to combat private capital in healthcare as part of an overall socialist program. We see single-payer healthcare legislation on the state level as a local change in the political landscape which could force capital’s hand on federal Medicare for All and eventual nationalization.

Please join us for these once-monthly Tuesday night meetings in which we educate and plan efforts to build a class conscious base in support of universal healthcare and socialist politics.
